To be an artist is to have the capacity to explore the fine line between reality and the unknown. What captivates me about jewelry as a form of artistic expression is that each precious artifact can pull the viewer out of an ordinary world into a deeper place of fantasy and wonder. Becoming a fascinating place where symbolisms have stronger bonding with reality than simple words could describe.
The use of digital sculpting combined with the process of metal casting in jewelry, allows me to convey a narrative element on a wearable item.
My ideas are inspired by reflections borrowed from personal dreams, the meaning of archetypical cultural models and mythology. My goal is to make a troubling but attractive piece of art brimming with symbolism and complex stories.
